This top layer is then tanned, buffed, sanded, and dyed to create the signature velvety texture that defines high-quality suede. This is my 3rd Portland Leather purchase and each time I’ve been pleased with the quality of their products. This wallet is just the right size and looks very handsome. It will last for ages as long as my partner doesn’t toss it in the wash again!

My husband now has 3 PLG wallets, and teases me that he can now change out his wallets to match his outfit! So far they are holding up great. I’m not thinking he is ever going to need to purchase another wallet. Side note…I love to see him sniff the wallets when changing them out. :)

After having bought 2 or 3 *supposedly* leather wallets that started to crack, tear or disintegrate after less than a year, I decided to shop around for a truly durable, real leather wallet. My daughter has been a huge fan of Portland Leather bags for several years, so I took a look at their wallets. They did not disappoint! This wallet is beautiful- both in its craftsmanship and its simple practicality. It reminds me very much of a wallet that a friend (who did custom leather work) made me about 40 years ago. I used (and abused) that wallet everyday for nearly 30 years and it just kept getting more beautiful in its patina finish and perfectly contoured fit until eventually it began to crack across the center crease. If this one lasts as long, it will likely be the last wallet I’ll ever own…and I’d be fine with that!
